CoronaVirus Writing

The corona has affected my life in a way I can describe simply as boring. Although I have a lot of free time, I find myself looking for more to do than actually doing anything else. There is a lack of toilet paper of all things so I haven't been using the bathroom as much. The only way for communication with friends is online; which I don't think is healthy for teens to stare at devices for so long. I haven't gone out as much and I have stopped doing anything recreational since most have closed down to the corona.

Now if you don't know about the corona, which will be referred to as Covid-19, it is a virus that has taken the world by storm. It started in China and quickly spread around the world and has major things to shut down.

School for one has been closed until around may for jcps and even longer in other counties. Places like Italy have been in quarantine since March 9th; which is about 60 million people. There are a few symptoms to look out for such as; Fever, Coughing, and shortness of Breath.These symptoms may appear in 2-14 days after contact with covid-19.The symptoms are similar to symptoms of the Flu. If you think you may have contracted covid-19 it is best to get tested as soon as possible. It is also important to practice social distancing, staying away from others that live outside your home. Make sure to only leave the house when necessary as it spreads fast.

As of right now there is no treatment for covid-19. Scientists are working to develop a vaccine that combats covid-19 which has, as of April 4th, has, been contracted by over 300,000 people in the U.S. Researchers say that a vaccine can be acquired in 18 months which is 1 ½ years. Experts say that vaccines may do more damage than help people. It may develop vaccine enhancement and that would not be good for the future.
